Len, you appreciated and shared my love for ‚Äúwords‚Ä? and encouraged me to keep on writing. This one‚Äôs for you.

You saved my life
But not from death
So brief was time
To know you.

No problem insurmountable
No task could slow you down
No day gone by without your touch
No frown left upside-down.

The Len I know is a
Sunshine day that never ends
A chapter of life’s most urgent
Lessons, a kindred spirit true.

Remember us, Len--
Become our Muse
As we will never let you go
Alone on this, your journey Home.

You saved my life
But not from death
So brief was time To know you.

Len has been a ‚Äúguiding light‚Ä? to myself and to so many in the ‚ÄúLibrary World.‚Ä? No question asked of him was too minor for his attention, nor too complex for him to answer.
I sought him out from both of my career libraries, Rock Valley College and South Beloit Public. From both of those very different perspectives he never wavered in providing the clarity I needed to make better decisions. But, more than that, I feel blessed to have experienced a rare person who leaves each one he touches with a little gem of himself that gives life the ‚Äúsparkle‚Ä? that enriches our own lives.
My deepest sympathy to Len’s family, his wife and daughter, as well as his PALS family and countless friends, colleagues and associates.
